Collaborations – BRE

Building Research Establishment (BRE) is a world leading, multidisciplinary, building science centre with a mission to improve buildings through research and knowledge generation. BRE was founded in 1921 and is based in Watford, UK. In 1990, BRE created the international system for assessment and certification of the sustainability of buildings, communities and infrastructure BREEAM.

Through the collaboration of BRE and SBC GREECE the following are expected:

• Exchange of knowledge and best practices.
• Research projects to improve sustainability knowledge.
• Delivery of educational programmes (BRE Academy).
• The creation of a BREEAM GREECE local team.

Promotion and implementation of the BREEAM certification system in Greece.
